Grissom Military Coordination & Planning

In 2018, Grissom Air Reserve Base (ARB) and the surrounding community and stakeholders, completed its first Joint Land Use Study (JLUS), which is in the process of being implemented over a series of phases.  Phase One was completed in February 2021.

During Implementation Phase I, the community stood up a technical working group called the “Military Coordination & Planning Committee,” made up of representatives from Grissom ARB, Miami County Economic Development Authority, and the surrounding cities and counties.

The primary task of the MCPC is to oversee and coordinate land use changes and policies in the community to ensure the activities conducted on the base and those on surrounding civilian lands remain compatible.  This is important to ensure local quality of life, but also the safe and ongoing operation of the mission at Grissom Air Reserve Base.
